Make a hair mask with stuff in your fridge!

When I made the decision  to go from the dark brown back to my more natural blond hair, I didn’t expect my hair to immediately turn into straw. The bleach dried my hair out so much that I was at the point of cutting the whole lot off.

Enter hair mask! I could not believe the results I had with this easy hair mask! My hair was soft and felt heavy and bouncy – and I could actually comb through it!

I whipped this up in 5 minutes! I used my food processor to mix it really finely!

This is what you need:

heart_love_favorite_circle-512 1 Avocado ( I only used half as I ate the other half accidentally)

heart_love_favorite_circle-512 3 tablespoons Olive Oil

heart_love_favorite_circle-512 1 tablespoon honey

heart_love_favorite_circle-512 1 egg (I only used the yolk)

Mix all the ingredients together until it’s smooth! Apply it to towel dried, clean hair and cover it with a shower cap ( I didn’t have a shower cap so I just pinned it up!) I left it in for about 30 minutes and then rinsed it really well with lukewarm water. Be careful of really hot water as it might cook the egg! And you will have scrambled hair! After rinsing it really well I tried to comb through it… and it still felt a bit knotted! But when I started drying it OH MY!

My hair felt heavy and soft and it was so shiny! I couldn’t stop touching it!

I read up a little about the ingredients just to make sure that I know what each ingredient does!

heart-iconOlive Oil has long been used for beauty hair care. Olive oil is brilliant for nourishing brittle, dry, damaged hair, rejuvenating it and giving it a healthy glow. If you don’t have lots of time, just use olive oil to get that bounce back!

heart-iconHoney is very important in a homemade hair mask, especially if you have dry, dull hair. It has restorative properties that add moisture to lifeless hair, making it glowing and lustrous. It is also great for sealing split ends!

heart-iconEggs are packed with numerous nutrients, from vitamins D, B, and A to iron to protein. In fact, the protein found in eggs is of the highest quality you can find in any food.

heart-iconAvocados, with their natural fatty richness are good for skin and hair.   It was the Egyptians who first used this fruit because it prevents hair loss and promotes hair growth. It is also used to improve the condition of hair by acting as a moisturizer.  This fruit makes hair shiny and gorgeous and skin moisturized and supple.
