Our 3 favourite Pregnancy Apps

A good pregnancy app can be so helpful – especially in your first trimester! It is awesome to follow the rapid growth of your baba and to read all about the babies weekly development. It can also be very useful – reminding you of appointments and all the small things you need to book or buy! Here are our top picks!

The Bump Pregnancy App

I love this app! I like the modern design ( no bright pink and blue) and the informative weekly e-mail updates. The app also has a “real answers” section where you can post or search questions and they have discussion groups, due date groups and more. The app is also very customizable as you can choose between “trying to conceive”, “pregnant” or “parent”. They then build a custom feed with an array of interesting facts, details about your body, the baby’s development and real answers and questions that is applicable.

Hello Baby Newsletter Babylist

Okay so this one is a bit different than the rest – and most certainly my favourite of the lot! While it is not exactly an app, the babylist app is a gift registry app ( unfortunately not available in RSA) BUT you can sign up via the desktop website and build an awesome online registry! My absolute favourite is the weekly newsletter you get from babylist! They have hilarious size descriptions for baby and super interesting facts and info! This is for the mama-to-be who doesn’t want to be on an app all the time and prefers just getting one mail a week!

Who's Your Daddy Pregnancy App for fist-time dads

This is such a cute app for first-time dads-to-be! Useful info written in an easy to understand way and sweet reminders and tips for your partner to really feel involved in the nine month wait. Unfortunately it is not free and will set you back about R50 – but it is totally worth it!
